U.S. LUMBER, an SBP brand is currently hiring for a 2nd Shift Part-Time Warehouse associate in our Winder, GA distribution branch.
Mon - Friday, 1p- 7p EST.
Essential Functions:
- Band, wrap, tape products before being shipped
- Maintain work area and be organized
- Identify and read tickets, SKUs, UPC labels and reports
- Great attention to detail and accuracy - be able to stand and work on your feet throughout shift as normal routine
- Be able to bend, stoop, reach, twist, squat, push, pull, move, and lift to 50lbs
- Materials Handling
- Assist shipping and receiving, unloading trucks, checking in merchandise, matching purchase orders to sales orders and distributing to sales associates for processing.
- Reading customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed and/or shipped.
- Moving materials and items from receiving or storage areas to shipping or to other designated areas.
- Sorting and placing materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code.
- Filling requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials, tools, or other stock items and distributes items to shipping or to designated route driver storage area.
- Marking materials with identifying information using appropriate method.
- Recording amounts of materials or items received or distributed via appropriate computer program. Safety
- Complies with all OSHA safety requirements, work rules and regulations
- Utilizes proper body mechanics when lifting objects up to 50 pounds, and gets assistance for lifts of greater than 50 pounds
- Reports unsafe conditions and behaviors to their supervisor
- Maintains the cleanliness of their work areas General/Administrative
- Supports the company vision and mission, and demonstrates the corporate core values in all professional activities.
- Complies with all OSHA safety requirements, work rules and regulations.
- Compiles and maintain all required paperwork, records, documents, etc.
- Follows systems and procedures outlined in company manuals.
- Maintains departmental housekeeping standards.
- All other duties as requested by management.
Qualifications:
- Formal Education and Certification
- High school diploma Knowledge and Experience
- Solid, dependable history of safe, consistent work
- Experience utilizing material handling equipment, such as forklifts and Combi-lifts
