Responsibilities: Reads routing and performs work as assigned by department supervisor. Sews, cuts, clips, hooks or otherwise assembles the materials to produce sub-assemblies or finished product from raw materials. Attach appropriate labels and tags to products and packages. Pack finished goods into correct packages and boxes. Track production on schedule boards. Notify supervisor of any mechanical or material issues. Place finished goods on the designated pallet. Maintain a clean and safe work area.
Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent. Minimum of 2 year’s experience in a in a manufacturing environment working on production equipment. Prior lumber experience desired. Engineered Lumber experience is preferred. Forklift experience and forklift certification preferred, but not required. Must have basic math and analytical skills. Must be computer literate, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Team Lead/Shift supervisor experience is preferred. Self-starter, pro-active and able to take initiative.
Work Environment: Bending, stooping, reaching, twisting, lifting, pushing, pulling and moving items: Requires the ability to consistently, and often, lift a minimum of 50 lbs. Responding to public address system announcements, directions from supervisors and managers, warning alarms from other forklift drivers. Walking and carrying merchandise. Requires moving around the warehouse to assist others or moving merchandise themselves. Identify and read tickets, SKUs, UPC labels and reports. Requires recognizing, identifying, and using merchandise and necessary reports. Gripping used to operate machinery or hand tools.
