Responsibilities and Essential Functions: 

  • Safely operate Combilift, forklifts or other machinery (chainsaw) in order to complete
    assigned tasks including loading and unloading, moving, staging, pulling orders
    and transporting material. 
  • Band, wrap, and tape product as needed.
  • Maintains condition of Warehouse work area, e.g. free of trash, product in correct
    location and organized, swept floors.
  • Work cooperatively and productively with Supervisors and other employees in
    order to complete required work load.
  • Provide and inspire outstanding service to customers by maintaining attention to
    detail, accuracy, quality and completing assigned work in a timely manner.
  • Assist with inventory variances, order accuracy and track and trace issues.
  • Follow U.S. Lumber safety policies and procedures and encourage others to do
    the same. This includes performing daily forklift safety checklists.
  • Reading and understanding tickets and the various codes for products
  • Must be able to read a tape measure.
  • Accurately pull daily orders.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisors or management

 Qualifications – A qualified candidate will:

  • Safely operate forklift and other machinery
  • Forklift experience and forklift certification preferred, but not required.
  • Band, wrap, tape product
  • Maintain work area and be organized
  • Responding to public address system announcements, directions from supervisors and managers, warning alarms from other forklift drivers
  • Walking and carrying merchandise
  • Great attention to detail and accuracy - be able to stand and work on your feet throughout shift as normal routine
  • Identify and read tickets, SKU’s, UPC labels and reports
  • Follow all safety procedures
  • Work in a team environment
  • Be able to bend, stoop, reach, twist, squat, push, pull, move, and lift to 50lbs
  • Other duties may be assigned
