Specialty Building Products is currently looking for a HR Generalist to help plan and coordinate HR management activities at a site location including key functions such as recruitment, employee relations, staffing, training, safety, personnel policies, regulatory compliance, and leave management.
Responsibilities & Essential Functions:
- Serve as a link between management and employees by handling questions, interpreting and helping resolve work-related problems.
- Ensure compliance with all federal and state employment laws; advise and train managers on compliance with equal employment opportunity, non-harassment, accident reporting, etc.
- Administer performance management program, disciplinary procedures, and coaching plans when needed.
- Be a site safety champion and create a culture committed to a high standard of workplace safety
- Conduct investigations on employee relation issues.
- Maintain records and compile statistical reports concerning personnel-related data such as hires, transfers, performance appraisals, and absenteeism rates using the HR management system.
Required credentials:
- Associate’s or Bachelor's Degree (four year college or university) required
- 3 or more years of Human Resources experience
- Manufacturing environment and Spanish/English bi-lingual preferred
- Computer Skills MS Office (excel, word, power point)
