We are currently looking for a Maintenance Technician - First Shift at Millwork Sales Orlando, FL to join our VALUES based organization. In this role you will focus on installing, repairing, and maintaining complex industrial machinery and equipment within a manufacturing facility, ensuring smooth operation by performing routine preventative maintenance, troubleshooting malfunctions, and diagnosing mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues to fix breakdowns when they occur; often requiring the ability to read technical manuals and blueprints to understand equipment and perform necessary repairs.
Responsibilities:
- Conducting routine inspections, lubrication, and cleaning of machinery to prevent breakdowns.
- Diagnosing equipment malfunctions, identifying faulty components, and repairing or replacing them.
- Installing new machinery and equipment according to manufacturer specifications.
- Adjusting and calibrating equipment to optimal performance standards.
- Interpreting blueprints, electrical schematics, and maintenance manuals to understand equipment operation and repair procedures.
- Adhering to all safety regulations and procedures while working on machinery.
- Maintaining detailed logs of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts used.
- Working with other departments to identify and address equipment issues.
- Other duties may be assigned by management.
Qualifications:
- Desired Experience: Kval, Norfield, or other Millwork Industry equipment.
- Travel: Willingness to travel to sites for training as needed.
- Mechanical aptitude: Strong understanding of mechanical principles, including gears, bearings, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
- Electrical knowledge: Basic electrical troubleshooting and wiring skills
- Hand tools proficiency: Ability to use a variety of hand tools and power tools safely and effectively
- Problem-solving skills: Ability to analyze problems, identify root causes, and develop solutions
- Technical reading comprehension: Understanding technical manuals and blueprints
- Physical stamina: Ability to lift heavy objects, work in confined spaces, and stand for extended periods
