U.S. Lumber, an SBP Brand, is currently looking for a 3rd Shift Loader, 6:00pm until finished, to join our team to perform manual labor duties in loading merchandise and materials onto trucks. The employee is responsible for loading merchandise onto flatbed trucks for shipment.

Responsibilities and Essential Functions:

  • 3rd Shift, 6:00 PM to 3:00 AM (Until the trucks are loaded)
  • Pulls merchandise from aisle locations during the delivery prep and transfer process using an RF scanner. 
  • Opens and inspects product during the delivery and transfer process. 
  • Assemble product as required Stages the product for delivery. 
  • Protects and moves product returns in a safe manner to the proper aisle location. 
  • Disposes of factory packaging as required. 
  • Must be physically able to operate a variety of equipment including hand trucks, dollies, pallet jacks, hand tools, etc. 
  • Must be able to exert up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or 25 pounds of force constantly to move objects. 
  • Requires ability to ascend and descend ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles, etc., using feet or hands and arms. 
  • Requires ability to maintain body equilibrium to prevent falling when walking, standing, bending, stooping, crouching, or running on narrow, slippery or erratically moving surfaces. 
  • Physical demand requirements are for Heavy Work. 

Qualifications – A qualified candidate will:

  • Safely operate forklift and other machinery
  • Forklift experience and forklift certification preferred, but not required.
  • Band, wrap, tape product
  • Maintain work area and be organized
  • Responding to public address system announcements, directions from supervisors and managers, warning alarms from other forklift drivers
  • Walking and carrying merchandise
  • Great attention to detail and accuracy - be able to stand and work on your feet throughout shift as normal routine
  • Identify and read tickets, SKU’s, UPC labels and reports
  • Follow all safety procedures
  • Work in a team environment
  • Be able to bend, stoop, reach, twist, squat, push, pull, move, and lift to 50lbs
  • Other duties may be assigned
