Specialty Building Products is currently seeking a Part-Time Office Assistant to join our values-based organization. The ideal candidate will provide clerical and organizational support to help ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the business. The role includes organizing common areas, greeting guests, shipping and receiving packages, and assisting staff with administrative tasks.

Responsibilities & Essential Functions:

  • Monday - Friday - 10am-3pm 
  • Greet visitors and provide general support for the office staff.
  • Answer and direct phone calls and emails.
  • Clean/organize common areas on both floors (front desk, office supply closet, kitchen)
  • Schedule meetings, appointments, and maintain calendars, if needed.
  • Sort and distribute mail as it arrives.
  • Work on incoming/outcoming packages with FedEx and post office mail, when needed.
  • Order office supplies and manage inventory.
  • Handle data entry and additional support to office staff as needed.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Basic skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Customer service skills and ability to interact with others.
  • Ability to multitask and manage time effectively.
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience as an administrative assistant or in an office support role.
