Position Summary
The Inventory Control Clerk supports accurate inventory management by performing cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, completing inventory adjustments, and assisting with inventory audits and physical inventory activities. This position works closely with warehouse, shipping and inventory leadership to identify and resolve inventory issues and improve inventory processes.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform scheduled cycle counts and research the root causes of inventory discrepancies.
- Investigate inventory variances and assist with identifying appropriate resolutions.
- Assist with the preparation and completion of the annual physical inventory.
- Support investigations of inventory inaccuracies identified through cycle counts and other inventory controls.
- Identify and recommend process improvements related to inventory accuracy and inventory management.
- Research and follow up on Bill of Materials (BOM) issues that may result in inventory discrepancies.
- Conduct daily dock audits, investigate discrepancies, and coordinate follow-up with Warehouse, Shipping, Sales, and other departments as needed.
- Correct inventory and transactional errors, including overbuild issues, system adjustments, and cycle-count corrections.
- Review negative inventory balances, investigate the cause, and make or coordinate appropriate corrections.
- Maintain accurate inventory records within the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Perform all duties in accordance with company safety policies, procedures, and standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Experience
- Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Previous inventory control, warehouse, or distribution experience preferred.
Starting Pay Rate - $24/Hr.
